The One in Faith cluster of parishes, located in Central Minnesota (Lake Wobegon country!), is seeking a person to coordinate the worship and music life of our community. The majority of this person’s responsibilities will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a multicultural, 1,000-family parish. The parish is looking to revitalize a rich, long-standing music tradition as we transition to our new worship space. In addition to these primary responsibilities at St. Mary’s, the position also entails being a resource person for the other parishes in the cluster.


  • Plan and coordinate all liturgies, music, and musicians for parish liturgical celebrations at St. Mary’s
  • Foster the development of the musical gifts of parishioners as singers and instrumentalists at all One in Faith parishes
  • Recruit, schedule, and rehearse with various music ministries (choirs, cantors, instrumentalists) at St. Mary’s
  • Coordinate with the Faith Formation Coordinator in the preparation of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation
  • Meet with couples and families to prepare and celebrate wedding and funeral liturgies at St. Mary’s
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of church sound, video, and musical equipment at St. Mary’s
  • Oversee the on-going training and formation of liturgical ministers in all One in Faith parishes
  • Act as liaison between all One in Faith parishes and the Worship Office of the Diocese of St. Cloud

*Weekend work is required, as is work on liturgical solemnities

Bachelor’s degree in Music, Liturgy, or related field
Keyboard accompaniment skills
Voice and choir-directing skills
Working knowledge of both contemporary and traditional liturgical music with an in-depth understanding of Catholic liturgy, liturgical music, and Vatican II principles
Conversational Spanish skills preferred but not required
