General Description:

Christ Church Newman Center is a parish stretching to live out the gospel message in the spirit of Vatican II. The position of the Campus Ministry Director will work in collaboration with parish staff and parish members to minister to the college students in the St. Cloud Metro. This person will have the role of animating the mission to the campuses through leadership of a comprehensive ministry program.

Job Responsibilities

1. Campus Ministry–

a. Responsible for over-seeing/coordinating (delegating and collaborating with permanent members and parish staff) campus ministry activities (on-campus, on Church grounds, and virtually), including small group bible studies/faith sharing groups, retreats, student meals, coffeehouses, gift bags for students and community service activities.
b. Visibly present on the campuses in order to develop relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
c. Coordinates Peer Ministry program, including the hiring, supervising, and formation of 4-6 students who take our mission on to the campuses to evangelize and serve their peers.
d. Coordinates service trips for university/college students, including advertising, budgeting, planning and leading at least one trip per year

2. Administrative

a. Attends monthly Focus Night meetings
b. Responsible for advertising for campus ministry programs (in print, on the website, and through social media)


1. Education – Theology degree, working toward a Master’s degree preferred
2. Experience – Related ministry experience required
3. Strong computer skills including experience with social media, web based software (including technology for conducting virtual meetings), and Microsoft Office Suite
