SCOPE OF POSITION

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Inspire Parish Leaders, Learning Staff, other Basilica Staff and Ministry Volunteers.

Develop and deliver a comprehensive parish plan for lifelong learning and Sacrament preparation with annual goals, tactics, timelines and budgets.

Provide oversight and direction for the Basilica’s Sacrament and Liturgical Catechesis.
• Oversee and direct staff to insure the maintenance of timely and accurate records related to registration, attendance, and evaluations, as well as any required documentation related to sacramental preparation and celebration.

Work with Learning Department staff to engage volunteers in leadership and support roles in Learning Ministries.

Direct and manage staff and volunteers to carry out annual program goals.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters Degree in theology or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of experience directing religious education and faith formation in a parish setting.
