The Diocese of St. Cloud is seeking an authentic witness to accompany couples, families and individuals through all life stages as the director of the office of marriage and family. This position includes providing vision and direction to the diocesan ministries flowing from the office of marriage and family.

Key responsibilities
– Provides vision and direction for the marriage and family ministries of the diocese, which includes the areas of marriage, family life, respect life, and natural family planning (NFP).
– Works with and empowers staff to achieve and regularly evaluate goals, priorities, and programs.
– Collaborates with diocesan staff to provide ministry to parishes across the diocese.
– Keeps up-to-date on current theology, catechesis, church documents, USCCB resources, and other important information pertinent to the office.
– Assists and provides resources to parishes and pastors to implement programs and train leaders in areas relevant to the office.
– Coordinates, along with staff and other groups, conferences and programs, such as Men’s and Women’s conferences and Honoring Marriage Day, which promote the vision of the office of Marriage and Family.
– Designs and implements various educational programs to promote the Church’s teachings on marriage, family, and the dignity of all life.
– Promotes Sponsor Couple Program, training couples for ministry in their parish, offering annual updates.

Requirements:
– Must have an intimate knowledge of Catholic Church teachings, especially surrounding marriage, family, and life issues.
– BA degree required, Master’s degree in theology preferred.
– Some travel and evening and weekend work is required.
– Three to five years’ experience, preferably in a ministry setting.
– Past experience in planning and presenting retreats and managing others is beneficial.

This is a full time benefits eligible position.

The Director of Behavioral Health Services is responsible for all aspects of operations, personnel, fiscal management, program development and planning and program evaluation of the following Catholic Charities programs: Caritas Mental Health Clinic, Hope Community Support, Intensive Outpatient-Child and Adolescent Day Treatment (St. Cloud), Young Learners Program, and Intensive Outpatient-Child and Adolescent Day Treatment (Elk River). The Director of Behavioral Health Services is a member of the Catholic Charities executive leadership team, Catholic Charities Leadership Council.

The programs that the Director of Behavioral Services oversees include:

  • Caritas Mental Health Clinic is a Rule 29 mental health clinic providing individual, couple and family therapy; assessments, evaluations & testing; psychiatric services; and group therapy & education.
  • The Hope Community Support Program provides habilitation and rehabilitation services to adults living with mental illness so they may be independent in their communities, experience a good quality of life, and make progress toward recovery from mental illness.
  • The Intensive Outpatient – Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Program (located in St. Cloud and Elk River) and the Young Learners Program are therapeutic rehabilitative programs for children with severe emotional/behavioral challenges from ages 3 to 18. These programs provide Group, Individual and Family therapy as well as Social Skill training as stipulated by CTSS (Children’s Therapeutic Support Services.) The Day Treatment Programs are fee for service and are Private insurance and MA reimbursable.

Position Requirements
Education: Masters Degree in Human Services or related field required; currently licensed in Minnesota in an appropriate clinical discipline.
Job Related Experience: Ten years of increasingly responsible and related administrative and managerial experience.
