The Speltz House is a community of retired priests of the Diocese of St. Cloud. In keeping with our organization’s tradition, we seek to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communication, coordinating, and cooperating with others to attain goals. The main responsibility is to provide nourishing food at the noon meal to residents and guests of the Speltz House under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for the purchase of food items, preparation of food, serving food, and the cleanup dishes, appliances, etc.

Essential Functions
– Food preparation and clean up for noon meal Monday-Friday.
– Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen.
– Preparation of food that is withing dietary needs and is tasty and appealing.
– Planning and purchasing of food for preparation withing given budget.
– Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen area.
– Providing friendly and courteous environment for residents.
– Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications
– High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
– Food Serve Safe certification preferred.
– Previous experience of up to one (1) year in food preparation and serving required.
– Physical Effort: Stairs; push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less; ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb

Job Summary:
The Rural Life Coordinator will carry out Catholic Charities’ mission to families, individuals, and communities in the rural area of the eastern region of the Diocese. This position will assist the Director of Social Concerns in providing support, training and resources to farm families, parishes and rural communities. The duties will be carried out by first identifying & analyzing the rural issues/concerns and then coordinating/convening gatherings and facilitating dialogue and corrective actions around these issues/concerns. Individual will also establish and maintain a network of faith and secular relationships, and individual and corporate/organizational relationships, in order to best support & accomplish these efforts. Individual will also be collaborating with parish/church Social Ministry committees/programs.
This position requires the ability to communicate orally and in written form. Travel is required on a regular basis. Moderate lifting is required when preparing for presentations, meetings, etc. This position also requires the ability to walk up and down steps in a number of churches in the Diocese.

Job Requirements:
2 years post High School (Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or Theology degree/curriculum preferred)
Job Related Experience:
Two years of work experience in a rural setting is required.

Other Requirements:
Must have lived and/or worked in a rural environment and must have a background connected to a farm setting.

Job Summary:
The Director of Property Management and Housing is responsible for the management, maintenance and development of housing for senior, low income persons and families, persons with physical and mental disabilities and homeless persons.  In addition, this position oversees the agency’s properties, plant, inventory and equipment.  These responsibilities also include administration of the agency’s fleet of vehicles.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years management experience, preference will be given to applicants with experience working Landlord/Tenant Laws.

The Director of Advancement has overall responsibility and authority for the operation of the programs and services that comprise the Organizational Advancement department of Catholic Charities.  This position also works with the various departments to design all development, public relations, marketing and special events activities for Catholic Charities.

Education/Job Related Experience:  Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible development and communication experience. Demonstrated familiarity and successful application of Benevon fundraising model preferred. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Hours: Full time. Hours are typically Monday thru Friday with occasional weekends as needed for events.
